Privacy Policy

1. Information stored by the App

Tea Master stores information that you choose to create or provide, which may include:

• tea names, types, brewing vessels, temperatures, volumes, and infusion schedules;
• taste feedback, calibration settings, and brewing history;
• App preferences and timer state; and
• photographs that you choose to take or select for your teas.

This information is stored locally on your device. When iCloud is available and enabled for Tea Master, Apple may also store and synchronize this information through your private iCloud account. Polaris Labs does not operate a server that receives or stores this information and does not have routine access to the contents of your private iCloud database.

2. Information Polaris Labs does not collect

The App does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking technologies. Polaris Labs does not collect through the App:

• contact information;
• precise or approximate location;
• advertising identifiers;
• device usage or behavioral analytics;
• payment-card or banking information; or
• the tea records, photographs, journal entries, or preferences stored in the App.

Information processed solely on your device and information stored in your private iCloud account are not transmitted to Polaris Labs.

3. iCloud synchronization

If you use iCloud synchronization, Apple processes the synchronized information under your Apple Account and Apple’s applicable terms and privacy practices. iCloud may use silent remote notifications to inform the App that synchronized information has changed. These notifications are operated by Apple; Polaris Labs does not operate a push-notification server for iCloud synchronization.

You can manage iCloud access through your device’s Apple Account and iCloud settings. Disabling iCloud may stop synchronization, but it does not necessarily delete information that has already been stored on your device or in iCloud.

4. Camera and photo access

Tea Master requests camera access only when you choose to take a photograph within the App. When you select an existing photograph, the App uses Apple’s system photo picker, which allows you to choose a specific image without granting the App unrestricted access to your photo library.

Selected photographs are stored with your Tea Master records on your device and, when iCloud synchronization is enabled, may be stored in your private iCloud account. Polaris Labs does not receive these photographs.

5. Notifications and Live Activities

With your permission, Tea Master may schedule local notifications to alert you when a brewing timer is complete. These timer notifications are created and scheduled on your device. The App may also display an active timer through Apple’s Live Activities and Dynamic Island features.

You can manage notification permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.

6. Purchases and subscriptions

Tea Master may offer subscriptions or a lifetime in-app purchase through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes these transactions under your Apple Account and its own terms and privacy practices. Polaris Labs does not receive your payment-card or banking information.

The App receives limited transaction and entitlement information from Apple as needed to determine whether premium features should be available. You can manage or cancel an active subscription through your App Store subscription settings and restore eligible purchases from within Tea Master.

7. Data retention and deletion

Information created in Tea Master remains on your device and, when enabled, in your private iCloud account until it is deleted or otherwise removed through Apple’s systems.

You may delete an individual tea from the Tea Master shelf. You may also select Settings → Delete all Tea Master data to delete the App’s tea records, photographs, brew journal, active timer state, pending feedback, and preferences. When iCloud synchronization is enabled, these deletions are expected to synchronize to your other devices through Apple.

You may also manage Tea Master’s iCloud storage through your Apple Account settings or remove the App from your devices. Deleting App data does not delete App Store transaction records maintained by Apple and does not automatically cancel an active subscription.

8. Third-party services

Tea Master relies on Apple platform services, including iCloud, StoreKit, local notifications, the system photo picker, and Live Activities. Apple’s handling of information through these services is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policies.

The Tea Master feedback webpage uses Tally, a third-party form service, to receive feedback that you choose to submit. Tally processes form responses and optional attachments on behalf of Polaris Labs in accordance with Tally’s applicable privacy and security terms. The feedback form opens as a webpage outside the App and is not an analytics or tracking component embedded in the Tea Master application.

Polaris Labs does not integrate third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or independent analytics providers into the App.

9. Communications with Polaris Labs

If you submit the feedback form or contact Polaris Labs by email, we receive the message, attachments, and other information that you choose to provide. The feedback form may also request optional device, operating-system, App-version, and reply-email information to help us understand and respond to your report.

We use this information to respond to your request, provide support, improve Tea Master, protect the App and our rights, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Please do not submit passwords, payment-card information, private tea photographs, or other sensitive personal information.

Support and feedback communications may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes and may be processed by Tally or the email service providers used by Polaris Labs. This information is provided outside the App and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

10. Data security

Tea Master relies on the security protections provided by iOS, the App sandbox, and iCloud. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Apple Account, including using an appropriate device passcode and account security settings.

11. Changes to this Privacy Policy

Polaris Labs may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements, or our information-handling practices. The revised policy will be published at this location with an updated effective date or last-updated date.
